Updating AWS CloudFormation Template Stacks

In the Arpio console: 

1. Navigate to Application > Settings gear. A third Upgrade tab will appear if your application is not using the latest templates.

This checks the newest template version against your existing template to generate release notes.  If the release notes are not relevant for your workloads, you can ignore this update.

2. Scroll down to Update Access Templates.  

3. Click the Copy URL button for your Primary Environment. This enables you to copy the latest template S3 URL; clicking the button does not initiate any changes to your environment.

In the AWS console: 

4. Navigate to your Primary account & region and open AWS CloudFormation.

5. Select the stack associated with this application, as specified in the Arpio console.

Select Stack > Update stack > Make a direct update

6. Replace Existing Template > Paste the Amazon S3 URL from Arpio into the Amazon S3 URL field. 

7. Confirm that the stack name and region match what was provided in the Arpio console. 

8. Return to the Arpio console and click "Test Access" to confirm your changes. This may take 1-2 minutes to reflect the update. 

9. Repeat steps 3-8 for your Recovery Environment.
