How to delete an Arpio application

Steps to safely terminate replication and clean up your recovery environment

Warning: If you delete an Arpio application, Arpio will tear down all of the recovery infrastructure we are managing and will delete the recovery points (snapshots). Arpio access needs to be intact via CloudFormation templates until this process is complete.

Before deleting an application:

  • If you do not want to be notified of deletion issues: remove the notification recipients (under Application > Settings gear > General tab)
  • If you want to capture the list of primary resources that were protected, and the corresponding recovery resource ARNs, go to Application > Recovery Environment > arrow icon to export CSV.
  • If you plan to re-onboard the same resources to a new application with the same primary+recovery environment: create the new application first, so that the initial backup and data transfer does not have to be repeated.
  • Contact support@arpio.io if you have any questions

To delete an application:

  • Click on the Application > Settings gear > General tab > (Scroll to bottom) > Delete application.

  • Arpio will automatically clean up the resources and recovery points we're managing in your recovery environment. (Allow up to 24 hours.)

  • Arpio will raise a console issue for anything that is blocking the deletion. Expand the issue message for more details.

  • Please seek confirmation from support@arpio.io that the process is complete. We will confirm if it is safe to revoke Arpio's access by removing the CloudFormation templates.
