Use this tag for resources using an AD Connector instead of a Managed Microsoft AD directory

This tag's value should be the directory ID to use to use in the recovery environment.

Description

If your FSx or TF server uses an AD Connector instead of a Managed Microsoft AD directory, automatic matching does not work. AWS does not expose a link between an AD Connector in the primary account and an AD Connector in the recovery account.

To recover a resource that uses an AD Connector:

  1. Find the directory ID to use in the recovery account or region.
  2. Set the arpio-config:recovery-directory-id tag on the primary file system to that directory ID.
  3. Ensure AD Connector is set up in the recovery environment prior to launching the a failover.
