How are recovery points applied in Arpio?

A recovery point is a snapshot of your AWS or Azure resources and their data at a particular point in time. Recovery points are applied in your recovery environment to replicate your production environment.

Recovery points are applied in 3 scenarios:

  1. When a recovery point is created, if no applications are under test or currently in recovery, the recovery point is applied to proactively set up resources in the recovery environment. Only resources for which AWS or Azure does not charge money are set up.
  2. When you test an application recovery, the latest recovery point is applied. All resources associated with the applications you are testing are set up.
  3. When you perform a disaster recovery, the latest recovery point is applied. All resources associated with the applications you are recovering are set up.
